Hard drive prices - Please be aware: At the moment the world hard drive market is suffering a 60% loss in production capacity following the terrible flooding in Thailand. This has had a knock on effect in prices resulting in a £20-30 premium per drive. Fortunately we have secured a good stock of drives so availability is not an issue. We are still supplying our premium WD drives.
500GB is suitable for systems where 2 cameras are being used or where some storage is required but never for long periods of time.
It is good practice to allow 250GB per camera when choosing your hard drive. This provides a sensible storage time without compromising recording quality.
