This 4-9mm open dome camera is our entry level vari-focal zoom lens open dome camera. Fitting zoom lens cameras enables you to perfectly fill the frame with your chosen subject making best use of each available pixel. 4-9mm is very much a general purpose lens giving an angle of view between a little over 70 degrees to a little over 30 degrees. If budget allows or 2.8-11mm lens version offers a more dynamic range.
As a guide to detail capture it would be possible to read a car number plate at up to around 9 or 10 metres using this camera during the day.
