The 12mm lens on this camera gives a close in view enabling you to capture more detail at further distances. Around 20 degrees angle of view typical uses might include till monitoring, doorway image capturing and so on. for wider angles of view we also stock 8mm and 3.6mm versions of this camera.
As a guide to detail capture using this camera it would be possible to read a car number plate during the day time at a distance of around 10 metres.
