System 2 DVR recorder. 16 camera h.264 compression, network ready.

A superb full function professional CCTV DVR recorder, ideal for large security installations. The latest H.264 compression Codec gives maximum recording times from your hard drive space. We recommend 250Gb per camera when working out which size of hard drive to have fitted. This particular DVR recorder is capable of taking up to 4TB of hard drive space.

When you order one of DVR recorders and a hard drive or drives together we will fit the hard drive(s), format the drive(s) and configure the DVR recorder free of charge. This means your DVR arrives plug and play ready saving you a substantial amount of set up time.

Controlling the DVR is straight forward using the supplied mouse, the DVR also comes complete with a remote control. As an option we have a wireless mouse available if you wish to site your DVR out of view. Our System2 DVR recorders feature a full function remote access menu when viewing via the internet or your local network. This not only allows you to change settings on the DVR but it also allows us to provide support remotely should you need help. For this the DVR would need to be connected to the internet and configured for remote viewing.

Functions include:

Built in motion detected recording with individually variable detection zones. Select which area on the screen you wish to use as a trigger patch, this vastly reduces the number of false alarms. You can also adjust the motion detection sensitivity. There is no need for external detectors or special cameras for motion detection, the DVR does everything.

The DVR can even be set to email you a jpeg image of what ever triggered the motion detected bookmark. This is a much better way of monitoring activity from off site and potentially better than using an alarm. An alarm tells you something is not right but you have to travel to the site to find out what the problem is. Email photo alert instantly shows you making it easy to decide if further action needs to be taken.

PTZ cameras can be controlled by the DVR recorder using RS485 and the following protocols: Pelco P, Pelco D, Lilin, Minking, Neon, Star, Vido, DSCP, VISCA, Samsung, RM110, HY and N-control with baud rates selectable from 110 to 921600. Several different cameras can be controlled by the DVR recorder. Camera control is possible using the mouse on the DVR, the computer remote access via your local network or the internet  or even a mobile phone. You can programme pre-set target points and link them together to form a route along which the camera travels.

Programmable scheduled recording. This facility lets you choose different types of recording at various times of the day or days of the week. Heavy traffic means you may not want motion triggered recording during the day but at night or at weekends when no traffic is expected you might want to use motion triggered recording.

The selectable display allows you to see a number of camera combinations on screen at once. Output is via either BNC or high resolution 1280 x 1044 VGA. There is a customer facing "spot" monitor which shows individual cameras either on a static or rolling basis. Individual camera names can be displayed together with a time watermark. These displays can be positioned anywhere on screen to avoid masking potentially important events.

Full function remote access over the internet or your local network allows you to see your cameras live, change settings on the DVR recorder, review previously recorded footage and make back up copies of previously recorded footage. The high level of functionality also allows us to provide assistance remotely in the event you have any problems or questions.

Full function remote access is also available using an iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Symbian mobile phone.

Hexaplex operation means the DVR continues recording even when you are making settings changes, backing up footage or remote accessing over the internet etc. The DVR also supports several different people remote accessing at the same time.

Individual camera selectable recording resolution, frame rates and maximum individual frame file size. You can select the recording resolution, bit rate and number of frames per second independently on each camera. This gives you total control of the hard drive capacity ensuring the perfect balance between maximum recording time and recording resolution.

We recommend recording all your cameras in D1 resolution but there may be situations where regulations require venues such as pubs and clubs to store footage for large amounts of time. Traditionally that has meant you have to record in low resolution. With these CCTV DVR recorders you can have strategic cameras recording in high resolution, the rest of the system recording in lower resolution to allow extended storage times.

Multiple DVRs can be linked together using the CMS software supplied with the unit.
